He was a Seki smith. He is listed as a RJT but I have never seen any of his blades with a star stamp, only a Seki stamp. The signature on this blade, as I commented, looks typical of Seki Showato. Unless there is a star stamp on it, I would bet, without seeing more, that it is a non-traditionally made blade typical of those mass produced in Seki.
