Thank you for the help. I was very happy to pick it up. I will be posting another sword for review,, later tonight or tomorrow.

The number is very lightly stamped on the Saya throat, but it appears to be either 3800 or 8800.

Is this a ww2 era Sword? Sorry for the quality of pictures, but it is all that I have at this time. Unfortunately, the scabbard has a different number than the sword blade. Thank you
