Hello, if any of you thread participants are still on this site, I am also a great fan of Gary’s and was lucky enough to purchase many of his Tsuba and books.
I have been even more blessed that one of my son’s is equally as interested in Swords and Tsuba as I am.
when collecting these type of gems that have been treasured for hundreds of years, I often wonder about their future as well as their past.
collecting the books has also become important as Surfson mentioned.
I was lucky to know Gary through the years he started selling his collection and bought more than one person deserves. Both he and his books offered much information to our family and helped us gain an appreciation for the Iron Tsuba , such as illustrated in his Onin book and others.
