Ethan West

Hello my name is Ethan West, I am 19 years old. I’ve grown up and lived in Barrie Ontario all of my life. I’ve been collecting antique weapons since about the age of 9 and have always been interested in nihonto. Although the depth and complexity and the very scholarly nature of the study itself has been pretty daunting and to be honest I don’t really know much about it. Recently however I have acquired a very nice what I think to be an older koto sword, I need help with however it’s poor state of preservation could be in issue in identifying its age, region of manufacture etc.
