Not sure how far this forum reaches -This was a sword purchased From Tsuguyasu (Tom) Wada My memory of him was of a very kind man who would stroll threw a show and politely inspect swords of interest - Enjoy

Thanks Everybody Funny When i Showed my Father in law the first clasped hand sarute (thanks Bruce for pointing it out ) He had never noticed them before so any that he has is just a happy coincidence - funny as i am taking pics its now one of the questions he ask if there is one Like i have stated he only Acquired swords that appealed to him so not to focused on certain characteristics -most of what he has left are military with only a few old family mounts -Years ago i went with him to the Airport and he picked up 2 young Japanese men and brought them back to his house. They had come to look at his swords and offer to purchase after they had inspected each that they liked .It was surreal -basement had the poorest lighting -they would hold up fingers as the offer and if my father in law approved they would fan out the $100 bills and grab the exact amount .All in All I bet they took 30+ swords back with them. They had boxes that were collapsed and they would pop them up and load each sword. One will never know what they took. But he knew what he paid and was happy with the offer he sold them one by one. They spoke no English Enough babbling -I will post another sword as a tribute to the gentleman who had his business card attached Steve

Military Family mount -Moto Yoshisada-Fujiwara ?
Dogditcher replied to Dogditcher's topic in Military Swords of Japan
Thanks Bruce and Steve I have looked at Stamp article-very interesting I guess my lingering question is are all stamped swords non traditional made or were some old blades that were just inspected and stamped for service if so did they still do traditional hardening for temper -this sword to me has an unique Hamon Also this sword appears to have more writing than the one that was posted -curious of what would be the additional info Thanks Steve
