I can see the patina under the rust. Maybe it's difficult for someone to see that in photos.

Well, this is for sure a pretty good information and example. As I am conservator of antiquities, except my coffee company, I know that they can make rust but until now I wasn't sure for patina too. Always learning of course. I really appreciate it and thank you so much for your knowledge that you shared!

Thank you very much for the reply and the try. These days I try to program my time and take better photos but it's really too fainted and I'm not sure if it can be appeared better.

Hello, I don't know too much but I think this is gimei. Because the inscription of testing is not so good, the inscription of Kotetsu is a little bit different in letter by letter and the nakago jiri is different too from other genuine Kotetsu.

Hello, not the best pictures with not good background too but I had them on my phone until to find time to take some better if you need them. (Same problem as my other post). Maybe Sukemitsu or Sukemoto but not sure because it's not a usual mei.

Hello, the mei is too fainted but if someone can give any information. Maybe 滝__ or 源__ or 廣__. Nagasa is about 75 cm. In the next days, I will find time because now I have too much work with my business and I will post new better pictures.

It could be but I don't think that it is something new because from more closer it looks something old and I can see patina too. Maybe a fake one like Ray said. An old fake tanto to seems like a "small katana"? I don't know.
