Okay! I will do that in the Nihonto section! Thank you both for your help!

Okay! So is the most accurate way to figure out which specific yasuhiro made the sword to compare the signature to online examples? Or is there a more accurate way? I’d love to know which one made it
-
Wow! Thank you for the quick reply @Ray Singer. It doesn’t look like the other Yasuhiro signatures I see online, so do you think it’s gimei signature?

Hey all! Can anyone help me with the translation of the Mei from the katana I recently bought? Thanks in advance!

@Nobody can you clarify? the owners name was “Togashi Hisajiro”? Is the surname Togashi or Hisajiro? From my reading, I believe Japanese use the surname first, and in America we use the surname last. and the city he lived in was “Oaza”? The reason I ask is because I got the Wakizashi cheap, with the intention of donating it and sending it back to Japan. Just trying to make sure I am understanding the address correctly. Which is the “city” and which is the province/district? What is Oaza?

Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone could tell me exactly what I’ve got here. It was gifted to a friend of mine by his uncle who was stationed in post war Japan and brought it back.

Okay! Thank you!

Hello everyone. I have a chance to buy this sword but before I do I wanted to get your opinion. I’m concerned it may be a replica. The Tsuba looks off to me and the number stamped on the habaki is unusual to me. The blade looks to be signed but unsure if you can make it out with the pictures the seller sent me. Anyways, what are your opinions?

Hey all. I am working to get a clearer pic of the me from the seller. But in the meantime, can anyone make this out?

Hello all! I was hoping that someone could tell me about this sword I have the chance to buy. The seller says it’s it’s signed “Mitsunaga” and it’s from the 1300’s. What do you guys think? Is this accurate? Gimei signature?

Any guesses if Gimei or real signature?

The nakago on this katana is pitted and worn, but there is a signature. Can anyone make out any of it?

Real or reproduction tassel

@PNSSHOGUN teach me. I was obviously concerned about the tassel and the habaki is odd. What else is wrong? -

This was something I plan on purchasing. The seller says it is a star stamped gendaito made by Okimitsu. What do yall think? -
Authentic or fake

I would agree on edo for the fittings, and possibly Koto on the blade. But I’m sure others who know more will be able to give more information
