I'm 40 years old and live in Switzerland. I recently went to an exposition  about "medieval" weapons and I saw there some real Nohinto's  and since then I try to learn and read everything about it. It's not really a new passion but more a new start about it. When I was 12  years Old, in front of an antique shop, I felt in love of katana. I enter the shop and ask informations about it... the price was quiet cheap in absolute, but for my modest 12 YO allowance it was completely unreasonable, but I decide to buy it. During two years, every week I went to this shop to watch my future katana and bring all my pocket money to the owner. After nearly 100 weeks it was mine... And come back home with it. Of course it was a Chineese, low quality steel and plastic modern thing ... but I liked it... Trying to lean about Japanese sword, I realise the richness of it and it's entanglement with history and culture.. Lifetime wont be enough to know everything about it. But I realise it is truly a passion area. I anxiously devoured the website  http://www.japaneseswordindex.com. Having one... maybe one day... but for me the real joy is to search, learn discuss, watch ....
