    Daisho tsuba

Thanks for your reply. I'm almost certain it's shakudo. The nakago hole has some copper colour where it touched the tang. There are no sekigane, so I think these tsuba were only mounted once on a specific daisho. Have you seen the other pictures of this daisho pair in my earlier post "Nanako tsuba"?

    Daisho tsuba

I found a signed nanako tsuba on https://collection.maas.museum/object/183052 with very similar design. Same artist or school? Can anyone read these kanji for me? Thanks!

I posted those tsuba under the title "Nanako tsuba", but didn't get any reaction on these... 🥺 Any comment is welcome 😃

    Nanako Tsuba

Just bought this tsuba today 😃 Mumei... Nanako... Mokko... Shakudo... 7,33 x 6,59 x 0,34 (at seppa-dai) cm. Weight: 126 gr. Curious for your comments 👍🏻
  15. And... another one 🤣 Never seen a tsuba with that much varieties‼️
  16. Thanks for your replies. Still hoping someone saw this before and can identify the marks.
  17. Thanks Barry, But I never saw such inserts on any sekigane. Should be a special reason to do so, what maybe can lead to maker (of the sekigane), aging the tsuba or other information.
  18. Just got this little simple iron tsuba, kaku mimi, with 2 udenuki ana. Measurements: 6,80 x 6,15 cm x 0,40 cm at nakagô hitsu ana x 0,35 cm mimi at top - x 0,37 cm mimi at bottom x 0,41 cm mimi at L & R side Kozuka hitsu ana: 1,84 x 1,06 cm Kôgai hitsu ana: 1,64 x 0,87 cm Udenuki ana: 0,42 & 0,32 cm Weight: 74 gr. Remarks: The Kôgai hitsu ana is smaller than the opposite Kozuka hitsu ana; The Sekigane are marked with flowers. My questions: Can the way of treating the Nakagô hitsu ana and Sekigane (the flowers) lead to date the tsuba or identify the school / maker?
  19. Moriyama San, どうもありがとうございます 👍🏻😃
  20. I bought this old (hand forged?) knife, but can't find the maker's name... I know this isn't a Nihonto, but it can be made by a swordsmith. So... Any help is welcome. I think the first two kanji are 登録 , written backwards. Dimensions: - total length in scabbard: 43,6 cm - without: 41,3 cm - Blade (with machi): 27,3 x 0,37 cm
  21. And I found 2 mei that come near (?) this one: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fichier:Hamano_Masanobu_-_Tsuba_with_a_Hawk_and_a_Sparrow_-_Walters_51381.jpg and https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/22380/lot/3204/?category=list&epik=dj0yJnU9TzRDaWV3dk9FckFxUkFxc2wzVGJ4Z3luQU9TMC1OQ0kmcD0wJm49VVJSWnFPSjVuQzdLNmxNdy02Z2FzdyZ0PUFBQUFBR0lEOElv
  22. Thank you Kyle. There are some really visual differences in the mei: - first stroke (deep) of the MI - mid (4'''') and last 'long' stroke of the BOKU
  23. My guess... Masanobu Anyone?
  24. Yves55

    Zōgan rats...

Yes Dale! That's what I mean with "Never seen before... Anyone?" Thanks!
  25. Yves55

    Zōgan rats...

And another new one: Iron tsuba with silver and golden rats. Dimensions: 6,53 x 6,07 x 0,54 cm Weight: 112 gr. Never seen before... Anyone?
