  1. Thanks for the confirmation Steve. Need to get a better picture of the Tsuba on the Wakizashi and back of Mune has some strange file marks I would like your guys' opinion on. Also have another WW2 Officer sword coming my way!!
  2. Think Jussi may be correct as have another saying Yoshitada
  3. Thanks!! Cousin trying to translate as well and got something different and I of course have no clue. He thinks it's Hidetada 秀忠
  4. Hello and very happy to have been guided to this forum. I was recently gifted a Katana and believe a Wakizashi from a coworker. He didn't know much about them. His father was a WW2 veteran who had an extensive sword collection and he thought I would like these. I purchased a cleaning and care kit to take apart and clean the blades. Was happy to come across a signature the Nakago of the Katana and need help with a translation. And really to know if they are real and not a forgery. Posting direct link to imgur album and hope you all can help me out. Great site and look forward to learning a lot here and I'm quickly becoming obsessed with knowing everything about these blades. If you need any more pics or just want to see more pics let me know and I'll get more. Thanks!!! -Drew http://imgur.com/a/h0fXR
