  6. This Waki/Tanto with Akuchi Koshirae, total lenght of the blade is 35.5 cm so its a???? Waki?? Also bought online in Japan so it takes a couple of months to arrive. Seems to be Edo and is signed: 国吉作- Kuniyoshi saku ?? Hope Jacques D can say something positive about my 2 latest purchases?? Thanks....
  7. Seems to be an Edo blade Mumei and suriage? its not totaly death?? Comes with this kozuka signed: 次正作 and nice koshirae. Bought from art dealer in Japan so it takes a couple of months to arrive.

    So its a Tanto in Aikuchi style Koshirae? Last couple of weeks I'm diving in the Nihonto swimming pool, learned a lot but can't swim yet.

    Thanks, I bought my first Tanto. This was on the blade. I did read the topic about Kizu but wasn't for sure. Here some pics. Total lenght is 45 cm Blade is 28 cm.

  17. Some more measurements Nakago 65 mm thick, blade runs to 41 mm thick. Its a small blade: 245mm. Gave the blade some TLC and applied some choji oil on it. Now waiting for a nice stand.

  22. I,m an entry level collector, have 1 Nihonto Waki and 3 Gunto's. I know this isn't a $1000 blade, just want to know the age and some blade teminology. Thats all, my grandma is also dead but I still love her...Thought this was a forum for all Japanese sword collectors, not only for connoisseurs. Thanks...
