following the information to the sword (according to the seller): Please feel free to voice your opinion! - Thanks! Jock --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Japanese Samurai Katana in Shirasaya Mount, Possibly Shinto Period Total length: From the handle tip to the blade point 36" Blade: Cutting edge: 26". In original full polish. No nicks, dents, bends, pits, some opening . Narrow blade similar to a Tachi blade/sword, 1" wide. Sword is razor sharp. Habaki: Foliage design. Tang signature: Unsigned. Hamon: Beautiful irregular tempered lines, very wavy active,bumpy, bright, clear, looks like a ring of clouds and very visible and runs on both sides. The hamon covers all the way to the tip of the sword. This sword is almost perfect. I am not quite sure of the age, possibly from Shinto Period. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
