  16. Hello , we found some Tsuba in depot of Museum of Slovenia, with no specific identification. I attacded some of them. 1. and 2. are interesting. 2. looks very old and has some urusi laquer on inner corners..Tsuba can also be from collection of architect John Jager (1884-1947) who was born in Slovenia and lived in USA. Jager collected Asian art and sold collection of 1700 Tsubas, to Edwin Hewitt - this Tsubas are now in display at Minneapolis Institute of Art/USA. There are six other Tsubas in Slovenia (confirmed from Jager collection), but at the moment I don't have pictures of them. I kindly ask you for some help with basic identificatio (type/ period/style) as we dont have expert on Tosugu, or some information/catalogue about Hewitt (ex. Jager collection) in Minneapolis, as we making an exehibition of Samurai arms and wepons, finded in our museum. Thank you very much for help, And all the best in the New Year 2016! Bojan S.

  20. Hello, today I had privilege to open some of the swords fron National museum Slovenia. Swords are not in public display and they were hidden in depot from around 1960. There are no ID's for this swords, only invetory numbers. Also swords had been exposed to electrolysis to preven rust when arrived, so damage was done back than. I make three pictures of 3 nakagos with signatures.. As I am still in process of learning to read kanjis, I will be very happy if somebody help with translation. At least we will return it's names to ID...Today they had been also profesionaly photographed, so if any interest here for help in reserch I can post complete high resolution studio pictures...but it is not good for the hart, to see blades from electolysys... Here are my attempts to read: 1. .......? last two... Kaneyoshi? 2. Kanenobu?, 3. Kanenaga saku? As there are no rust on nakagos, it will be wery dificult to determinated the age... Thank you very much for helping, Best regards, Bojan S.

  23. Hello, I was in contact with Aoi art, few weeks ago, about buying sword..which should be send to Slovenia /EU. I got an answer that sword must be decleared as "decorative or imitation, replica" sword...I am not shore if it is right time to order or not, becuse of shipping restrictions..About the taxes in Slovenia, we have 22% for all imported items also on antiques, so for my country declaration is not so important do to tax fees..And for now swords are not clsified as wepons, only "daggers" dubble edge, will be clasified as wepon. So I can't import yari or ken... Regards, Bojan S.
