  1. Apologies for my rudeness in not signing the post, am brand new to the forum and still learning my way round. Many thanks for any views or possible information. Alan.
  2. I am new to the forum and realise I have so much to learn. Some years ago I aquired 3 round flat cast bronzes of Japanes mythical creature, a dragon, a kirin and a minogame (turtle). I was told that they were adornments from armour and they have small holes in the edge that was originally used to secure them to something. On the back of one of them is a hand written sticker saying that they are "samurai bronze ornaments with martial symbols from the Tokugawa period circa 1850". They are 4 1/4" across and the relief is quite detailed. If anyone can help with their identification, I would be very grateful. Many thanks in advance.
