Nakago rust is too dark for WWII blade and also flaky in spots. Looks added to me. Don't understand why someone would add rust and mei that is so radically different if really wanting to pass off as a Yasakuni smith ???
Lots of oshi out there that could be used as a guide to go by. Blade is in very nice full polish, very straight with silver habaki and new shirasaya, a lot of money to spend on a gimei huh!
I bought it as gimei with intentions of removing mei and mounting in some really nice gunto fittings I have on hand.
It just ate away at me as to why the signature was so oddly done if trying to pass of as a high end Gendai.....
