Mark C Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 Hi all, Another tsuba that I'm having trouble with. It is 72mm high, 70mm wide and 5.5mm thick. I think the mei could be Nobumune. It would seem that I always get the things with part of the mei missing or worn away  Also, Is it normal to have two Kogai hitsu-ana Any help, greatly appreciated many thanks Regards Mark Quote
Bungo Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 Nobuie. There are many Nobuie, this could be a later one............I am more into " designs" and people that like Nobuie are more into the " beauty " of iron, so I can't say much meaningful regarding this school. milt the ronin Quote
Rich T Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 it is most certainly not a Nobuie tsuba. it is a shame that the bottom right of the kanji is missing, I thought also Nobumune when I saw it. there are 3 strokes on the left of Ie and this clearly looks to have just one. I have no Nobumune's listed either sorry, I thought maybe for a minute Nobusada ( I have one listed ) or Nobuyasu ( I have 2 Aziu Shoami listed ) but I am not confident about either of those guesses. I would think it to be late 1700's to mid 1800's in age. Cheers Rich Quote
