Its signed Fujiwara Korekazu Meiji 18 8th Month I say that its rare because according to Ogawa in the Boston Museum book, he states that the only extant blade he has seen with a late date after the Restoration was made for Dr. Bigelow in 1883. This is one which is exactly the same is dated 1886. It has Hozon papers dated Showa 57. Pictures to follow this week. JS Quote
