Ford Hallam Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 well...not actually What I'm looking for is a list of tosogu that have been registered as National Juyo Bunkazai. If anyone can point me in the right direction or better yet, send me a copy of the list I'd be most grateful. thanks, ford Quote
Curran Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 If anyone is so generous, I'd like a copy of that list too. Ford, given that I am the resident lover of Norisuke work (I prefer some of his signed works to the originals), forgive me for wondering what you would do with such a list.... If I had the skill and resources, I would too. The thought puts a rare true smile on my face, so I give it a rare smiley :D . You remember the name of the fellow charged with being a Nazi collaberator because he sold them "famous art"? (edit:) Yes, I just discovered his name again: Van Meegeren. Known for his Vermeer works, I would swear it was an el Greco I had seen by him. No confusing the two artists.... must be too much white lead in my own paints finally getting to me. Quote
Ford Hallam Posted July 8, 2010 Author Report Posted July 8, 2010 Hi Curran, he he...I don't have any nefarious plans in mind....yet . I actually have my eye on one specific piece but wanted to have a look at what else was in the same category. Just honest research. The chap you're referring to was Han Van Meegeren. Quote
Ford Hallam Posted July 11, 2010 Author Report Posted July 11, 2010 A very generous member has now emailed me scans of the items I was interested in so the hunt is over. Thanks. regards, ford Quote
