I would stay away, if you have $400 to spend on tsuba, you can do much better than these four. The two on the right are most likely cast pieces and the two on the left may be authentic (POSSIBLY), but low quality. Personally, I would pass if the lot was even $100, these are not desirable pieces.

Oh I have no intention of buying. Just testing my judging skills on real vs fake. But I also thought 400 was over the top for these.

Well I think Jason has it correct, the two on the right are indeed fakes - however when you look at the prices some on eBay are charging for one fake, the $400 for two "real" plus two throwaways is not that bad! :shock:

You are right to give the auction a miss - or you could ask if the lot can be split, unlikely as how would the owner get rid of the fakes!
