wakiboy Posted February 14 Report Posted February 14 Back again… my wife bought these from Flying Cranes when we visited the states 1990s, can someone please help with what the school and period would be as I am trying to catalogue some of my bits and pieces, thanks in advance…. Ian Quote

If I had to take a guess it feels like it might have some Nara region influences? Curious to see what others with more knowledge and experience think 2 1 Quote
wakiboy Posted February 16 Author Report Posted February 16 Hi Jake Thanks for the information, I am trying to put information on items so that I can catalogue them I’ve got bits and pieces I’ve had for years and know nothing about them. Ian Quote
ROKUJURO Posted February 16 Report Posted February 16 Ian, looking at the NANAKO-JI, I think it is a bit "random". The general appearance puts more weight on the decoration rather than on the basic work, so I would not exclude the possibility that this one is a better quality NAGOYA-MONO item from the end of the 19th century. More good images might prove me wrong, as so often. 2 Quote
