Hello. I was referred to this site to be able to get some knowledge on a knife that was given to me. It is very beautiful and fascinating and frankly, I’m not a knife collector and don’t know much. I can give you the information that I have, but if someone could either refute or confirm my information I would be very appreciative. I was told it is a Moroha Tanto with Saya Kanemono decorations and pre WW2. I think the handle may be an I think the handle may be a replacement handle because it’s the only thing that seems kind of out of place but I might be wrong. Any help or information would be grand. Decent late Meiji to Taisho or early Showa, for export production, "ken".
