John C Posted Sunday at 02:55 AM Report Posted Sunday at 02:55 AM (edited) It sells for about 50 bucks in Japan, if you can find it. Please let me know if you have a copy you would be willing to sell. John C. Edited Sunday at 02:57 AM by John C added pic Quote
When Necessary Posted Sunday at 03:18 AM Report Posted Sunday at 03:18 AM It's in a batch of books on Mercari but I don't know how you order that from outside Japan. https://jp.mercari.com/item/m93248872795?utm_source=ios&source_location=share&utm_medium=share And a more expensive copy on Amazon.jp which should be orderable. https://www.amazon.co.jp/趣味の透し鐔・小刀作り-1980年-成木-一彦/dp/B000J89HNY 1 Quote
John C Posted Sunday at 04:43 PM Author Report Posted Sunday at 04:43 PM 13 hours ago, When Necessary said: more expensive 25% tariffs plus shipping plus getting hung up at the border makes me avoid ordering from Japan right now. Being a Japanese language book, however, I might not have a choice. John C. Quote
When Necessary Posted Sunday at 11:36 PM Report Posted Sunday at 11:36 PM I forgot DT's tariffs. Quote
nulldevice Posted Monday at 01:39 PM Report Posted Monday at 01:39 PM 13 hours ago, When Necessary said: I forgot DT's tariffs. The last 2 books I've received from Japan had no tariffs and both we're after the de minimis exemption expired. I've read somewhere else after asking about books and tariffs, "Informational materials are on Annex II exclusion list from the April 2 executive order about the reciprocal duty. So they’re not subject to reciprocal duty. And books don’t have any standard duty anyway." 1 Quote
