tlzkaasen Posted September 2, 2025 Report Posted September 2, 2025 Good Morning, - I recently acquired a beautiful Masakiyo (Higo/Takada line) and the sword has a splitting Saya. The Saya is very unique to my collection and would like to have it repaired. Does anyone have any recommendations in the US? Thank you for any advice Quote

I reached out to Wally Hostetter. I've tried Josiahia about a month ago because he comes highly recommended, but he's a touch of my league for pricing. Quote
tlzkaasen Posted September 17, 2025 Author Report Posted September 17, 2025 I ended up going with Shining Moon 13/Wally H. He will be repairing the saya and replacing the green/tan sageo with black silk. Also, having him re-do the tsuka. Not a huge fan of the green silk. Will be doing Black silk. I think the Gold Menuki will really pop. 1 Quote
