Bosco Posted June 24 Report Posted June 24 Hi guys, just received my Kyo-kino Fuchi Kashira today. Im on the hunt for matching tsuba and menuki. Any help would be great please . Edo-Period Kyō-Kinkō Fuchi-Kashira An excellent example of Edo-period sword fittings from the Kyō-Kinkō school. Crafted from shakudō (a copper-gold alloy) and featuring precision sukidashi-takabori (high-relief carving) with a remarkably smooth finish, this fuchi-kashira is adorned with finely detailed chrysanthemum motifs. The use of gold inlay (zōgan) enhances its elegance, embodying the refined standards of Kyoto metalwork tradition. Quote
Jesta Posted June 24 Report Posted June 24 Very pretty. Are you looking for theme, or to match the crafting type, or both? Quote

Jesta Posted June 24 Report Posted June 24 I think that it is largely going to depend on your budget… I did see this one: https://www.aoijapan.com/tsuba-mumeiunsignedkaga-kinko-nbthk-hozon-tosogu/ Or this one: https://www.zacke.at/auction/lot/58-a-fine-silvered-iron-tsuba-with-autumnal-flowers/?lot=75950&sd=1# (I bought this one, waiting for it to arrive) Quote
