I am offering for sale this authentic Japanese wakizashi, unrestored and without koshirae (mountings). The blade is signed by a smith of the Bizen Osafune Sukesada school, a renowned group active during the Muromachi period.

• Signature (mei): 備前国長船祐定 – Bizen no Kuni Osafune Sukesada
• Blade length (excluding tang): 46 cm
• Height: 3 cm
• Thickness: 7 mm
• Total length: 58.5 cm
• Condition: shows nicks and rust – ideal for restoration or collection

 

 

A genuine piece of significant historical value. The original signature can be clearly seen on the tang (nakago). The blade has not been restored or altered.
