Jacques Posted November 4, 2007 Report Posted November 4, 2007 Hi, Starting with the beginning (sugata-----> kamakura... muromachi...keisho shinto....etc...) would be better, More easy with the measureaments Quote
Guest reinhard Posted November 4, 2007 Report Posted November 4, 2007 Starting with the sugata does not work, when a blade has been so drastically changed like this one. The width of the shinogi varies somewhat throughout the length of the blade and broadens unnaturally towards the kissaki, which itself was poorly reshaped ( ko-shinogi!) and lost much of its original proportions. Therefore you can't use proper kantei proceeding and have to stick with the few informations you get from what is left. Of these the nakago (also reshaped, by the way) gives the most reliable information. Having noticed, that some things are defintely wrong with it, there's no need to go much further from there. Quote
