I have this rather crude, heavy iron tsuba.

It measures 73 x 80 mm, the mimi is 7.76mm thick.

There are traces of an engraved/punched decoration of circles around the border.

Could this slot into Jingo school?

I say the above due to the size difference of the ana.

Any ideas, always helps along the path of knowledge.

Hi David N.,

Heavy and rather crude iron tsuba I don't associate with the work of the Jingo school. Here is a good example of the Jingo school I was looking at yesterday: http://www.tsuruginoya.com/mn1_3/f00121.html. My website site (URL below) has a mid 19th century late Jingo school example.
