please advise with this sword

Hi all,

I am Dwi from bali island of Indonesia.

i found a sword a week a go. i am trying to find all information of this sword.

but it seem that, very hard for me, since i couldn't find the same sword like this.

 

handle is 21,6 cm

blade from handle is 55,5 cm

 

there is no ornament just like any other sword i see in this forum.

handle and scabbard totally made from wood.

i am not confidence to open the handle, i don't see a way for it.

 

if i am not wrong, the tip of the blade called boshi righ?

it has two side of sharpness around 18 cm.

 

i trust that this is an old sword. since it's own by a friend of my grand father.

he is romusha in Japanese occupation in 1942 - 1945.

 

i wish someone will advise me well here.

Looks like a locally made copy in the Japanese style. Too poor of condition to say much more.
