    Thank you Ray, but that search did not offer me much insight. I did see one of the links showed a couple similar symbols to the last two on my sword, but it seems no one really offered any answers on that either. Richard

    I have a sword the I have been having difficulty translating. There is writing on only one side of the tang. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Richard
