    I was referred to NMB (thanks, Bruce!) to get help on a star stamped sword that I recently picked up. I am specifically interested in the smith and if there is any information on him, and if he is well known for producing these kinds of swords. From what I understand, the sword came out of Yamagata with the "ma" stamp, and the smith's name is Ikeda Yoshikane, with his real name being Ikeda Kaneyoshi. Any additional information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Tom
