    Hello everyone. I’m new to collecting and don’t know much about this style of sword. The seller calls it a “police sword” because it is a shorter blade. I’m guessing pre-WW2. But is it possible the blade is traditionally made from a Wakizashi? Or is the blade probably machine made with this style of sword? Thanks in all advance!

    I’m new to Japanese swords. Can anyone tell me about this sword I’ve got? It’s got a cool hand guard. Looks like a demon on it. What’s it worth?

    Here is the measurement. It looks like it’s about 26 1/4 inches from the tip to the notch in the blade under the collar

    Wow! So there is a chance that the Japanese officer wrote his name on the sword? the sword was made in the 16th century?? Like the 1500’s??

    I think I see a faint line along the edge of the blade. It’s not straight. It’s curvy. Any information about the sword would be appreciated!

    Here are some more photos I’d the sword. I was able to get the handle off. I don’t see a signature. But I do see some writing on the little plates by the handguard.
