Civilian katana

Hi all Thanks for your comments… based upon the attached pic the Chinese occupation evaluation is pretty much confirmed…I don’t think any of the 19th century Japanese artisans utilized bar stock with a threaded tip 🤣

Hi all I hope that you may be able to share some insights on a civilian style katana that I just acquired…I suspect that it might be an occupation made sword given the engraving shown on the habiki…have not seen engraving there on other swords.. tsuba seems to have either serpent or dragon images… thoughts?
