    Thank you so much for the help. Soeone cleaned the tang and tried to fit a new habaki by filing the blade. I made some adjustments to camouflage that. It is a fairly nice bare blade. I will find koshirae for.

    Just purchased this sword made in March of 1945. Appears to be Showa To. First Character is Kane but cannot figure out second character. I have been told it is Hide, but cannot find a visual match
