  1. At this point working backwards my most logical thought would be. Take the Mei out of the equation and let the craftsmanship speak for the creator. Does that make sense? This is beyond my level of personal knowledge. I am more concerned about the history behind this piece than value. It found me and I love it. i have a pretty good idea how it wound up in a small town in Ca. But before that, i can only speculate. Thank you for the insight that you have already provided! Blessings DougK
  2. The patina on the lower left to right stroke/scratch has a lighter shade to it and seems much shallower than all other Strokes of Mei. You can barely make out the difference in the photo Nobody enhanced. Here is one is enhanced from a photo before it was converted to jpeg
  3. Is this what you mean÷
  4. Hello I have had several people tell me that this Mei appears to be Norimune. From the research I have conducted so far it seams a possibility. Feel free to let me know your thoughts. Thanks, DougK
  5. Here we go, Nagasaki 59cm, Nakago 15.1 cm, Sori 1.5 cm, Kissaki-Yokote 3.5 cm. MEI From what I have been informed and my personal time in the “Rabbit Hole” ??? 則 宗 <Norimune> I would like to learn anything I can about this blade. Every time I look at it I see something new. Any opinions or references would be greatly appreciated. I apologize in advance i am not a photographer by any means Thanks in advance DougK
