  1. The pricw could be slightly wavered, but it would have to be easily brought into the country as i said the irish laws are very specific.
  2. Thats brilliant, i'll have a look into that definitly, thank you.
  3. I'd like to buy a good quality and condition katana price in and around 1000-2000, the laws of katanas are very specific in Ireland so it would need to be papered, and proof its a collectors antique. Thanks.
  4. Thanks for the reply, ill look into that definitly.
  5. Thanks a lot😁 will do definitly.
  6. Thank you for helping, ill try but it'll be hard. Thanks, jason.
  7. Im in the Republic of Ireland so it might be a bit different.
  8. From ireland here and just trying to figure out how to get a katana here in the country, because the legality is quite specific. It sais that you can only own a katana if it is made pre 1952 with traditional methods to a collector. I think if i was to import one into the country it would get taken through customs. Just seeing if anyone knows a way around this if i could ship one in or another way. Thank you.
  9. Looking to buy a good quality nihonto from 16 - 1800s. Preferably with a signature and certificate, i know this is hard to find but that is what i would be looking for. Price range about 900 - 2 or 3000 (but not confined to). Thank you.
  10. Thank you for your reply. Just how modern do you think it is, as in is it early or late 20th century, or this century. If it is a replica it is a very high quality one with all the designs hand painted and a lot of other intricate details. Here is another kabuto very similar to this and comes with a yoroi (armour). So would that one be a replica too?
  11. Ok thank you iv'e decided to turn this blade and invest in a better quality one, thank you for the help😁.
  12. Ok thank you, here is a picture of the hooks aswell.
  13. Thank you for the information😁.
  14. No the blade itself dosn't have a shinogi line going through it.
  15. Im not too sure if this is a mold line on the helmet, If it is then it was well covered up on the inside and out The bottom picture is a rivet that is in the mask, I dont know if this can provide any more information on how they built it. I bought the kabuto whith not too much knowledge on the subject but i still think that it is a great decorative piece.
  16. Thank you very much that is really good information😁
  17. Ok thank you, just for the future what signs are there that it is a genuine kabuto or not.
  18. Thank you that is very helpful, how can you tell that the hole is punched instead of drilled just for future refrence.
  19. Thank you for your opinion, im sure i will get a lot more information on this as time goes on.
  20. Thank you, I have still had trouble finding out much information about this family crest so if you possibly have any information on the kamon then that would be very helpful aswell. Thank you.
  21. Thank you for your reply, Would you know what era it is a reproduction from, and aslo do you know what the value would be seeing as it was still possibly made in the edo period. Thank you.
  22. I was looking if somebody could help provide some more information about this kabuto helmet i bought a couple of weeks back the seller said its from the edo period. The half moon piece in the center is a replacement piece that came with it. If anyone could provide information about the kamon that would be great too.
  23. Thank you for taking the time to reply and explaining what is wrong with the tsuba, i would like to gather as much knowledge about nihonto as i can. One person said that the blade itself could be a genuine shortened blade with an added signature, so would you have any tips on identifying how old the blade is. Thank you.
  24. Thank you for your reply. I have only handled the sword very briefly in a militaria collectors show. These are just pictures from the seller sent on to me. I assume all the pictures are from the same blade, but if the mei is forged and the blade is bad quality like you were saying i would rather wait and buy a better quality real on.
  25. Ok thank you, the person who i was buying it off was looking for 1000 for it and would really like to get my hands on a real one.
