  1. Wow, thank you guys! I managed to find a description of the one with the rope around it and it's described as: "A rounded square iron tsuba carved as an anchor below chidori with a roped rim"
  2. I just purchased a group of six Tsuba pretty cheaply compared to the usual ones i get at Aoi Art, but i don't have any information on their histories beyond them being sold through a major british auction house in the early 2010s. I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about their history and type? I mostly brought it for the one with the Genno hammer on it.
  3. Hi! the folks over on reddit recommended i ask here about translation on this sword i recently brought. Sadly some idiot cleaned one side of the tang, so i have to apologise for the swordgore, but i'm after some help translating the writing on the tang. I know nothing about Japanese swords, but the auctioneers is trustworthy, so i though i'd dip my toe into a field that is fascinating with this. The folks over on reddit got this far: Omote side: ??守藤原(助?)則 (?? no kami Fujiwara (Suke?)nori) Apparently no kami Fujiwara is some kind of title, which if anyone knows the English translation, i would be grateful Ura side: ?(州?)??政???作之 (...(shū?)..masa...saku kore = ..province...masa...made this).
