  1. Thanks Ray, that one is stunning! Goes to show it's all fun and games until the tsuka comes off!
  2. No way! So he had it translated that's awesome! Thanks! This is a beauty!
  3. Hey folks, i've found this (and bought it) on the ol' fleabay a while back, and the seller never had it translated, maybe you awesome people can help me out here. Condition is pretty good, the nagasa measures 26,22 inches, hamon still visible, some blotching, a few tiny nicks but this thing is RAZORSHARP! All parts are stamped 74 and nakago has a star stamp. Saya missing some paint but not too bad. Fitment is 10/10. Double latch. Anyways have fun with this one and thanks alot!
  4. Hey folks, somehow i've got my hands on what seems to be a tachi mounted seki blade? The saya has some paint chipping also wrap and hardware is coming loose, and sadly missing the endcap. Tsuka is mint but very loose and ill-fitting but mekugi lines up. Habaki was a worthless cast brass pos, replaced that with a 2 piece copper habaki that fits like a glove. Tsuba is a single solid cast brass piece?? (Always thought tachi koshirae had multi-piece tsubas) also included to shim the whole thing, 1 generic brass seppa and 2 gunto seppa stamped 52. Blade is clean with no chips or cracks, not very sharp, hamon barely visible. Seki stamped and looks like the nakago has been cleaned. Mei not yet translated. Nagasa is 65 cm. Paid 600 bucks for the thing. Keen to hear your thoughts.
  5. You guys are beyond awesome! Again thanks a bunch!
