  1. Bruce, it does not appear to have the Takayama tip that I can tell, but it is short and heavy, I need to either get some modern mounts for it, or a Shirasaya made to preserve it.
  2. So it appears he made stainless swords with arsenal stamps as well as non stainless blades with no stamps, which appears to be what I have. Interesting! Thank you gentleman so much for your assistance
  3. It's interesting in the example you were able to locate the swords do not look similar to one another. As the one I have does not have a kissaki and is more akin to Shobo zukuri.
  4. Greetings! As the title suggests, I am seeking out any information on a smith who signed their works as Kanename. I have a blade from a Kai gunto with this signature, but there are no anchor stamp nor any other arsenal stamps I can locate. I did manage to find another Kai gunto signed by the aforementioned smith on Ebay, which was listed years ago but have found no other works. Any information about the smith or the blade is appreciated. As the fittings are all pretty much useless I am interested in having the blade mounted in modern fixtures for Iaido training.
