  3. Hello again, In my previous post I mentioned I've been offered a Japanese collection that included a few swords. My area was always german blades so very uniformed of what to look for in fakes, parts pieces, fantasy pieces etc. Here are a two more of the swords. The first one I think might be a fake due to the large arsenal marks and post war hanger....the second one I really have no idea what it is! Thanks again for the help and advice Larry L
  4. Here are a few more pics if it helps....thanks again
  5. Hello all, I ran across this site in search of information on Japanese ww2 swords..Must say that you really have a good site. Was hoping that I could get a little help on a few Japanese sword that was part of a large ww2 Japanese collection my friends late uncle had. I have been german blade collector for many years but have zero knowledge on these types of swords. I know from the german world that fakes are so good these days its a minefield and often the internet doesnt always have accurate info on identifying fakes. Sorry if this is the wrong area to post this and if so please let me know. Ill start with the first sword which is a kai gunto. Just wondering if these are original pre-45, parts pieces, or all out fakes. Thanks in advance, Larry
