Other Info and Full Description :
This is one of the healthiest Late Muromachi Mino Katana one can get. If you look at the pictures of the moto-kasane and hamachi, you will notice that there are absolutely no signs of togiberi (reshaping) at all, and there is some ubu-ba (un-sharpened area around the hamachi) left too. The sword is attributed to Kaneharu, one of the well-known smiths from the Seki School. Although Ubu, it is unfortunately Mumei. If signed, this would be a magnificent piece. The Shinogi of this sword has average height. It is quite heavy for how thin it looks compared to most Seki swords. Overall old polish with slight stain and surface rust around the hamachi where the habaki sits. A must-get for Mino collectors.
