  3. Jean, Sorry about that after a long - time study of the sword I am still an amateur. They are ordinary ones with contours. I assume you will make them. Regards Bob
  4. They are both copper the second has a serrated edge. Both are approx. 1mm thick if you would kind enough to duplicate them it would be greatly appreciated I expect to pay for your service. It is a Tachi with a Shitdom Tsuba and deserves attention. Regards Bob
  5. Can anyone help me locate an original Tachi Seppa, one of each in the picture or if someone can make them or know a good reproduction but an original is what I would prefer.

    I would like to submit pictures of a Tachi i have today ; How do i go about it.
  9. I am the novice of novice. I bought it some time back and was always suspicious of it that said do you think the blade is spurious also? I think the rest of the sword is o.k. blade etc. but if not a hard lesson learned. Bob

  12. I will post pictures this evening. the blade is 21.5 inches long or a Wakizashi [my mistake]. The only engraving on the Nakago is one heart in what appears to be gold wash.
  13. I have a Katana sword with the signature [One Heart] only does this have any special meaning? Thank You

  15. I apologize for making an error in reading Mr. Yumotos' notations in evaluating the sword. As to the signature he rates it bad, date: circa 1700 Shinto, made most likely by a smith of Osaka Shinto School. I hope I haven't caused any confusion.
  16. Is it a counterfiet; or made in the the period with a false signature? I would greatly appreciate any info. Regards
  17. I don't know much of anything about Japanese swords but for years studied their culture. I have picked up several that remain unread but would like some history on this one as it authenticated by Mr. Yumoto Thank You
