Hoshi, thank you for this great article. I especially appreciated the detailed reviews of individual blades. The Bizen Osafune school is especially interesting to me, and while I have yet to see a Mitsutada blade live (although there may have been one in the now distant Met show), I am the caretaker of a Nagamitsu and a Kagemitsu. I am travelling to Japan this fall and in addition to the Tokyo sword museums will make a special trip to the Osafune sword museum in Setouchi. With some luck perhaps a Mitsutada will be on display.
