  1. Hoshi, thank you for this great article. I especially appreciated the detailed reviews of individual blades. The Bizen Osafune school is especially interesting to me, and while I have yet to see a Mitsutada blade live (although there may have been one in the now distant Met show), I am the caretaker of a Nagamitsu and a Kagemitsu. I am travelling to Japan this fall and in addition to the Tokyo sword museums will make a special trip to the Osafune sword museum in Setouchi. With some luck perhaps a Mitsutada will be on display.
  2. Hello all, I am a US Nihonto collector for many years and have very much enjoyed the expertise of the folks on this website! Thank you. I am planning a trip to Japan this fall and of course a looking forward to a couple days of sword visits (sorry honey!). Of course I have the Tokyo museums on my radar and am also planning a trip to the Bizen Osafune Museum. I know they have a demonstration site for sword making, although the schedule is still uncertain. Does anyone have a suggestion for a master sword maker to visit either near Tokyo or near Okayama? Would love to experience this up close and personal....Many thanks, Peter
