  1. Hello all, In the early 2000’s my family brought this home from the Philippines. It remained in the family household for quite some time after the war. I was hoping to be educated here on this forum. I have looked through many posts and photos to try and cross reference the scabbard but I am still a bit confused. Unfortunately there is no blade and I don’t know the backstory of where it went. Attached are the best/detailed photos I can provide. Thank you all for your time. Please forgive me for any wrongful assumptions. Cheers! Additional Content: A machined Calvary sword. Battlefield pickup and may have been in a fire at some point. I will try to see which manufacturer correlates to the serial number. #117628 Update: Actually a Type32 “Otsu” Manufactured from 1889-1935 until the Type 95 took its place until 1945. 77.4cm blade length. Able to see one upper character on the Guard. But the other three characters are rusted away. Made in Tokyo Artillery Arsenal.
