Thanks all, I'm fairly sure this is not an authentic piece but was still interested in a translation. These marks are on the blade. The tip is towards the top of the photo. Mike P

Could someone please help translate these symbols? I'm not sure if its a date or smith, but I thought there may be a '7' and possibly 'autumn' or 'lucky' in there. I'm really just guessing though. Many thanks, Mike P
