    I cannot thank you enough for your help. The wealth of knoledge here never ceases to impress me. Who would you recomend to polish the blade or evaluate if it is even salvagable ? And yes, I know what it costs. Christian

    The first two pictures are of a Katana with a long 27.5 inch blade in poor condition. The second two are characters on the blade and mounting of a beautiful Wakizashi. The inscriptions under the handle are almost completely gone. Thank you, Christian

    There are no other marks anywhere that I can see. Also the overall length of the blade with the handle removed is 32 3/4 inches. I added some more bad i-phone pics.

    First off, I appreciate any help offered here. Thanks in advance. I reciently purchased this sword and I'm trying to determine if its special and worth restoring or if it's just an average example. I plan to keep it if its above average. Knowing who made it seems like a good start. Christian
