  1. Quite true, I had also talked a price with Peter.... But that's that I suppose. And he was a cash only guy. So we have lost another sword dealer in the UK. Mick
  2. R.I.P. I new Peter Yorke, Quite well and spoke to him at the Motor Cycle Musiem often. He was a great believer in the three "P"s (Payup, Pickup, and P#ss off) I suppose cash is King after all. I was supposed to Pickup a sword from him at the last show there. Mick Does anyone know what happened to his Collection? I was told that the Gardener took them all? (A Window).
  3. I forgot to say that the sword is: A short sword: Wakizashi / Chisa Katana. Blade is: 54cm / 21.25 inches In: Military Mount's = WWII With a: Hi I will dig it out later on today if I can find it again? Thanks, Mick.
  4. P.S. I've also just found a sword in my collection that I bought unsigned at the time. About ten years ago! And just the other day in the bright sunlight clear as day a signature on the tang showed up. So I will look it out again and take some photo's for you. And maybe you can give me some information on it? Thanks again, Mick.
  5. Hi all, Long time no speak. I wonder if you can help me find a Book / Reference piece please. I think it is from: 1898 to 1942? And has smiths and blade Reference photo's and makers names also. I think it's all in Japanese so no English version to my knowledge. I have only seen the softback version of this book? I would very much like to get a copy new or old. Have you ever seen such a book? Again thanks for any help that you can give me. Mick
  6. Hi Kronos, That's fine. It was the guy that I got the sword from that said that it had the "Brothers" mark on it. I have no idea what he meant by this either? Thanks anyway, Mick
  7. Hi Kronos, No there are no other marks on the tang! And there is no Seki/Arsenal marks that I can see either. Please see my photo's for your reference. Thanks Mick P.S. Sorry I did not mean to break the rules. I have now changed to my real name!
