Thanks for the quick response and information. Fortunately, I didn't spend much on this sword. (25 bucks). I had a feeling that it was some sort of fake or replica, but a replica of what? I had hoped I could get a little more information on the country of origin and possible age of this particular sword. I could find nothing on the website suggested that addresses my sword in particular, nor can I find one that looks like it on the internet. I have seen real Nihonto in person and knew it did not look like an any authentic Katana or Japanese military sword I have seen, so I had hoped that someone had seen one like mine to give me a little accurate analysis of what type of fake or replica it is and country of origin. thanks again
