  1. I have just acquired what appears to be an exceptionally well constructed Gendaito that is 22.5 inches long and quite stout with a very well done mei. The sword appears to be a pilot or tankers sword which was papered by the NTHK NPO group. I am having difficulty with reading the name of the smith which seems to be in unusual characters. The Kantei form has the signature kanji but no English aliteration. If I post the mei from the nacago or papers would anyone be able to help me with the translation?
  2. I am attempting to learn more about the reverse kouse construction style as I just picked up such a piece at a recent Japanese sword show. It's signed Seki Ju Kane Masa Saku. It is in high quality shira saya and in very good polish, It is the first sword of this type I have seen, have een collecting 8 years.
