  1. I know there are several collectors of Nihontos in Oklahoma as I've run into a few at some of the larger gun shows. Just trying to get in touch with some of them to find out about any collectors shows or meetings that might come up or that go on a regular basis. Sorry if this isn't the right place but not sure where else to post or look. Thanks Chris Wilson
  2. Sorry George, it's on a Gunto, what I believe to be a very late war piece that was re-handled for sale as a souvenir, I say this because everything is good except tsuka, the fuchi is a thin brass band with crud engraving an no bottom to it, an kashira is really bad brass casting that somewhat resembles a war time kashira with crud engraving and the kashira is really small an has a small brass nail holding it on, the tsuka appears to have been carved down to fit the small kashira, there was no Ito on tsuka an it has a full same wrap, menuki is also missing an it had a broke army officers tassel that looks like it may of been brown an blue before it faded out, its in such bad shape its just falling apart. The Tsuba is a pierced piece but very crud casting, the seppas, habaki an tsuba all have a number 2 stamped in them. The Saya is wooden with a fairly decent leather cover but the bottom is worn through. Picked it up cheap at a gunshow last Saturday in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I'm looking for a good fuchi an kashira to make a correct wartime handle so I can have a decent looking Gunto to hang on the wall. The spring release on the fuchi needs to be in the 9 o'clock position to line up right also need correct menuki so if any one has something let me know, thanks!
  3. Thanks Gunto, after you said that I looked it up in the Arsenal Stamps thread an could see it after you pointed it out. There is no other signature or marks on the blade except this. Thanks for the welcome also. Chris
  4. Could someone please tell me what stamp this is. Thank You Chris
