Tsubafan Posted September 1 Report Posted September 1 Good things come in threes??? just found another Tanto at a flea market near my home last week end. No fancy fittings, simple yet efficient design, lacquer and dark horn. Blade is mumei and very thick (maybe a true Yoroi Doshi this time?). : 0.83 cm Hamon barely visible but still there. 2 Quote
eternal_newbie Posted September 1 Report Posted September 1 Certainly looks like a yoroi-doshi to me! One thing you can do to check the original thickness is see if there's a point on the nakago that's thicker than the blade itself. Since the nakago doesn't get polished, this can be an indication of how much material the blade has lost over time. 1 Quote
